Couch Delivery in NYC: Stairs, Doorways and Walk-Ups
Couch and sofa delivery is where most NYC furniture deliveries go wrong. Pre-war walk-ups have narrow, turning stairwells. Co-op buildings want a COI and a reserved elevator. Brownstones have tight entry vestibules. A sectional that fits the showroom floor may not fit the stairwell.
Measure first: Send us the sofa's dimensions plus your doorway, hallway and stairwell widths when you book. We tell you up front if it's a two-person carry.
Sectionals come apart: Sectionals travel as separate pieces and get reconnected in the room.
Legs off, legs back on: When removing the legs makes the difference at a tight doorway, we take them off and put them back on.
Protecting your building: Blanket wrap, door-frame care and a COI on file keep your super and management company happy. Weekend moves? Book weekend delivery.

Can you pick up furniture from IKEA or West Elm and deliver it the same day?
Yes. Send us your order number and pickup location. We collect from the store's pickup area and deliver the same day, subject to the store's release times.
Do you carry furniture up the stairs?
Yes. Inside delivery is standard, including walk-ups. Tell us the floor and whether there's an elevator so we send the right crew size.
Do you assemble furniture?
Standard delivery covers carry-in and placement. For assembly, full setup and packaging removal, book white glove delivery.
Can you deliver a couch I bought from a private seller?
Yes. Private-seller and Facebook Marketplace pickups run through our marketplace furniture delivery service.
What if my building requires a COI?
We provide one. Send us your building management's COI requirements when you book and we'll have it on file before the truck arrives.
