Retail Logistics Built for NYC's Hardest Delivery Environment
Inventory in the wrong store is lost revenue. A SKU sold out at your SoHo flagship while the same item sits dead on the shelf in Williamsburg is a margin leak you can fix in under three hours — but only if your courier knows how to handle a freight elevator booking, a COI request, and a Hudson Yards loading dock window without asking questions.
That's where Xentra Transport runs. We're a same-day retail logistics partner for chains, boutiques, beauty brands, fashion houses, and e-commerce companies with physical NYC footprints. We move stock between stores, replenish from warehouses, transport visual merch and fixtures, and handle returns and BOPIS routing — without leaving cartons on the sidewalk and without burning your dock window because the driver didn't book the elevator.
Licensed motor carrier. Fully insured. BBB accredited. NYSMCA member. 100+ five-star reviews across Google, Yelp, Thumbtack, and Trustpilot. Headquartered in Midtown Manhattan.
What We Move
Anything that needs to get from point A to point B inside the retail supply chain — without the warehouse hop, the gig handoff, or the lobby drop:
Store-to-store inventory transfers — Same-day SKU rebalancing between locations. Common runs: SoHo ↔ Upper East Side, Tribeca ↔ Williamsburg, Midtown ↔ Hudson Yards.
Warehouse-to-store replenishment — Scheduled daily or weekly routes from NJ, Long Island City, or Brooklyn distribution centers directly to your retail doors. Cartons, totes, hanging garments, and master cases.
Fixtures, mannequins, and visual merchandising — Nesting tables, slat walls, shelving, lighting, mannequins, signage, vinyl rolls, window props. Vehicles equipped with load bars and straps.
POS, tech, and security hardware — Registers, scanners, tablets, servers, security sensors, replacement components.
Marketing and seasonal rollouts — Window displays, large-format signage, promotional materials, pop-up event assets.
Reverse logistics & returns — End-of-season consolidations, defective product returns, BOPIS routing back to fulfillment centers.
Pop-up shop logistics — Full setup deliveries to Hudson Yards, Brookfield Place, Westfield WTC, Columbus Circle, and street-level pop-ups across Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Apparel and showroom freight — Hanging garment bags, rolling racks, wardrobe boxes. See fashion courier NYC for showroom and editorial logistics.

How Our Retail Delivery Works
1. Schedule the run. Book a one-off urgent transfer or set up a recurring weekly route. Tell us carton count, store-level access details, and any specific dock or elevator requirements. Use the pricing calculator for an instant quote.
2. COI issued before pickup. If your building or destination requires a Certificate of Insurance with specific named-insured language, we issue it within hours of booking. No turn-aways at the freight dock.
3. Pickup & manifest verification. Driver arrives at the originating store or warehouse and verifies carton counts against your manifest. Discrepancies flagged and confirmed before transit.
4. Direct transit, no co-loaded freight. Your stock moves in one vehicle, your route only. No warehouse hops, no third-party handoffs.
5. Dock-correct delivery & receiving protocol. Stock goes to the stockroom, receiving area, or sales floor — not the lobby. Manager or associate signs for the goods. Photo + signature proof of delivery logged.
6. Confirmation & invoicing. Delivery confirmation hits your inbox. Recurring B2B clients are billed monthly with full delivery logs.

Why NYC Retailers Pick Xentra Over Standard Carriers and Gig Apps
NYC retail logistics breaks any carrier that doesn't understand the city. Here's what we run differently:
We know the malls. Hudson Yards, Brookfield Place, Westfield World Trade Center, The Shops at Columbus Circle — we know the dock locations, the elevator booking procedures, the security clearance windows, and the receiving rules. We don't get refused at the dock.
COI-ready, every time. Most Class-A buildings in Manhattan require a Certificate of Insurance with specific named-insured language for freight elevator access. We turn around COIs within hours, not days.
We deliver to the stockroom, not the sidewalk. Standard service includes hand-off to the actual receiving location — stockroom, back-of-house, or designated sales floor area. Not the lobby. Not the curb.
Curbside-legal in SoHo, Fifth Ave, and West Village. Boutiques without loading docks need a courier who knows commercial loading zones, ticket-free curbside windows, and how to unload fast in heavy-traffic streets without a violation.
One driver per route, no co-loading. Your $40K of inventory doesn't share a back seat with anyone else's freight.
Real dispatcher when something goes wrong. Locked stockroom door? Confused associate? Wrong recipient on-site? Dispatch solves it in real time. (877) 709-2711 reaches a person, every time.
Recurring contract pricing for chains. Daily, weekly, or scheduled routes at discounted rates with dedicated drivers and monthly invoicing — built for retail operations teams, not one-off jobs.
Insured cargo on every run. Coverage built into the rate.

Frequently Asked Questions
How fast can you pick up an inter-store transfer? Most Manhattan-to-Manhattan transfers are picked up within 30–60 minutes. Cross-borough transfers run 60–90 minutes. For pre-booked recurring routes, pickup is timed exactly to your defined window.
Do you provide Certificates of Insurance for building access? Yes — included in every booking. We turn around COIs with your building's specific named-insured language within hours. This is one of the most common reasons retailers switch to us from gig services that can't issue compliant COIs.
Can you handle freight elevator coordination at malls and Class-A buildings? Yes. We book elevator windows in advance for Hudson Yards, Brookfield Place, Westfield WTC, Columbus Circle, and other major retail centers. Drivers know the dock locations and security procedures.
Do you deliver to the stockroom or just the lobby? Stockroom, receiving area, or wherever you specify. Standard delivery includes hand-off to the actual receiving destination, not the curb or the security desk. For setup, unboxing, or sales floor placement, book a two-person team.
Can you handle large fixtures, mannequins, and visual merchandising? Yes. Cargo vans equipped with load bars, straps, and blankets handle nesting tables, slat walls, shelving, mannequins, signage, and seasonal display materials. Two-person teams available for heavier installations. See office moving NYC for related larger-scale work.
Do you offer recurring contracts for retail chains? Yes. Many of our retail clients run daily or weekly fixed routes — warehouse-to-store, store-to-store, or returns consolidation — at discounted contract rates with dedicated drivers and monthly invoicing. Email info@xentratransport.com for chain pricing.
What does retail delivery cost? $125 minimum, $3/mile flat. Manhattan-only transfers run $125–$225. Cross-borough $150–$300. Warehouse-to-store from NJ/Queens $200–$450. Get an exact quote in under a minute.
Can you handle returns and reverse logistics? Yes. End-of-season consolidations, defective product returns, BOPIS order routing back to fulfillment, and warehouse return runs are all part of our standard retail service.
Do you operate after hours, weekends, and holidays? Yes — 24/7. After-hours and weekend runs carry a 25% surcharge. Many of our retail clients prefer overnight replenishment runs to avoid daytime traffic and dock congestion.
Are you a licensed and insured motor carrier? Yes. We're a federally registered motor carrier with full commercial cargo insurance carried on every vehicle. BBB accredited. NYSMCA member. Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce member. Proof of insurance and credentials available on request.
