What We Actually Do For Law Firms
We're a courier company that runs court filings and legal documents across NYC and the tri-state every day. Not a marketplace, not a third-party app booking strangers off the street — actual Xentra drivers who know which entrance to use at 60 Centre, where to park near 360 Adams, and how long the security line gets at SDNY before lunch.
When your paralegal calls at 3:47 PM and needs an Order to Show Cause walked into the courthouse before 5, that's the call we're built for. Same goes for original wet-signature closing binders, exhibits to opposing counsel, working copies for chambers, and confidential discovery boxes that can't go through a UPS hub.
If you've used a legal processor and gotten frustrated with the price markup, the slow communication, or the lack of a real driver to call — that's the gap we fill.

Court Filing Courier: What Makes The Deadline?
Most missed filings aren't the courier's fault on the road. They're the handoff before the road. Two things that matter:
Cutoff times. Most NYC clerk windows close at 5 PM. Some close at 4:30. Federal courts usually run later. Tell us the latest acceptable filing time and we work backward. From most Manhattan firms to 60 Centre Street is 15–25 minutes by van off-peak, 35+ in afternoon traffic. From Midtown to 360 Adams Street, plan 45 minutes if it's after 3 PM.
What you hand the driver. Original signatures where required, the correct number of copies, the filing fee or attorney check (if applicable), and a clear note on what gets stamped and returned. We've watched filings get bounced because a paralegal forgot the third copy. We can't fix that on the courthouse steps.
If you're cutting it close, call us before you finish printing. We'll have a driver in your lobby by the time the documents come off the printer.
Court Filing Courier Near Me
You call or book online. Tell us pickup, drop, deadline, and any special instructions — sealed envelope, signature required, court filing reference, judge's part. The deadline drives the dispatch order.
Driver dispatched directly. The job goes to one of our drivers, not a public marketplace. You get the driver's name and live tracking.
Pickup with handoff confirmation. Driver photographs the package at pickup so there's a record of what left your office.
Direct route. A legal run is a legal run. We don't bundle your filing with five other deliveries.
Filing or delivery. At a courthouse, the driver files at the clerk's window, gets the stamped copy, and photographs the time-stamp.
Proof of delivery. You get the time-stamped photo, recipient signature where applicable, and GPS confirmation. If the clerk rejects something, you know within minutes — not at 5:30 PM when it's too late to fix.

Same Day Legal Document Delivery
Same-day means we're at your office within 30–90 minutes of the call (Manhattan / Brooklyn, business hours), and at the destination directly after pickup. No warehouse stop, no sortation. For tri-state runs (NJ, Long Island, Westchester) we typically commit to a 3–4 hour total window depending on traffic and time of day.
If you need a 60-minute door-to-door inside Manhattan or between Manhattan and downtown Brooklyn, we can usually do it. Tell us "60 minutes" up front so the dispatcher prices and routes it that way. For tighter STAT-level runs, see Rush / STAT messenger service.
Xentra Transport provides same day legal document delivery for urgent legal matters. This service is designed for time-sensitive filings, contracts, and legal paperwork that must be delivered quickly and securely. We respond fast and plan each delivery to meet strict deadlines.
Clients rely on us for professional handling and dependable service. If your legal documents need same-day delivery without complications, Xentra Transport is ready to help.
Pricing
Standard pricing for legal runs is $3 per mile with a $125 minimum. Most NYC court runs land in the $125–$200 range. Tri-state runs (NJ, Long Island, Westchester) are mileage-based and quoted before dispatch.
Rush, after-hours, multi-stop, and waiting time at the courthouse (when the driver waits for a stamped copy or signed order) are quoted separately. No surprise charges.
Firms with regular volume can set up a billed account with monthly invoicing. Contact us about an account.

Frequently asked questions
How fast can a courier file at NYC Supreme Court? From most Manhattan firms, a driver can be at 60 Centre Street within 30–45 minutes of pickup. From Brooklyn firms, 360 Adams is faster. Always call before 4 PM if the filing has to go in that day — the clerk's window closes at 5 (some at 4:30) and you want a buffer for the security line and any rejection.
Can you file something for me, or do I need to be there? We file. The driver presents the documents to the clerk, pays any filing fee if you've provided one, gets the stamped copy back, and photographs the time-stamp. You don't need to be there.
Do you bring back the stamped copy? Yes. The conformed copy is part of the run. We return it to your office or to whoever you specify.
What happens if the clerk rejects my filing? The driver calls your office immediately with what the clerk said — missing copy, wrong caption, fee issue, etc. If you can fix it remotely (emailing a corrected page to print at a nearby print shop), we can sometimes save the filing. If you can't, we bring everything back so you can file the next day.
Do you handle Orders to Show Cause? Yes. OSCs are common same-day work for us. We bring the OSC to the assigned part for the judge's signature, then to the clerk for filing if applicable. Build in extra time for chambers — judges aren't always available the moment the driver walks in.
Are you a process server? No. We're a courier and messenger service. We deliver to addresses you provide. For service of process under CPLR rules, you need a licensed process server. We can hand documents to your process server, but we don't serve process ourselves.
Can you do after-hours or weekend filings? Most NYC courts don't accept filings after hours. For things that don't require a courthouse — delivery to opposing counsel's office, signed contracts between firms, originals to a client — we run 24/7. Federal e-filing has changed the calculus on a lot of this, so always check what physically needs to move.
What about confidential or sealed envelopes? Single-driver custody, sealed envelope photographed at pickup and at drop, no opening. If it's tamper-evident packaging, the seal is checked at handoff. Escorted or two-person deliveries available on request for higher-sensitivity matter.
Do you cover Long Island, New Jersey, and Westchester? Yes. Nassau (Mineola), Suffolk (Riverhead, Central Islip), Westchester (White Plains), Bergen (Hackensack), Essex (Newark), Hudson (Jersey City), Ocean (Lakewood / Toms River), Mercer (Trenton). The tri-state legal corridor is core to what we do.
Do you have insurance? Yes — cargo and general liability. For runs involving certified checks or other high-value items, ask about appropriate riders before pickup.
How do I get started? Call (877) 709-2711 or request a legal run online. First-time clients can pay per delivery. Firms running several runs a week can set up an account with monthly invoicing.
What if I need a courier multiple times a day, every day? We do recurring schedules for firms with regular court runs — daily, certain days of the week, or on-call. We'll set up something that fits your filing rhythm.
