Giving Back to the NYC Community
On one of the coldest nights of the year, the Xentra Transport team did not go home early. We loaded up our vans and delivered 200 hot meals to New Yorkers sleeping on the streets, in shelters, and in temporary housing across the city.
This was not a marketing stunt. There were no cameras rolling for a commercial. Our team — led by founder Kevin Owusu — organized the meal delivery because we have the vehicles, the drivers, and the logistics experience to get food to people who need it, when they need it most. We are a delivery company. Delivering meals to people in need is the most natural thing we could do.
What We Did
Xentra Transport partnered with local organizations to prepare and package 200 hot meals. Our team loaded the meals into our cargo vans and drove delivery routes across NYC, stopping at locations where we knew people would be — street corners, shelters, parks, and transit hubs. Every meal was hand-delivered with a conversation and a reminder that someone in this city cares.
The logistics were the same as any business delivery — route planning, timing, packaging to keep items warm during transport, and proof that every meal reached someone who needed it. The only difference was the recipients. Read the full blog post →
Our Commitment to NYC
Xentra Transport was built in this city. Brooklyn is where we started. Manhattan, Queens, The Bronx, Staten Island, and New Jersey are where we operate every day. We are not a faceless national brand — we are a local company with local drivers who live in the communities we serve. Giving back is not a line on our website — it is something we actually do, with our own vans, our own team, and our own time.
